The Boca Raton Sheriff’s Office says Robert Geiserman, a well-known local property developer was threatening to commit suicide, and they were called to his home by the man’s son.
Geiserman was holding a gun and behaving irrationally. A deputy shot him dead when he pointed the weapon.
Geiserman, was suffering in this economic downturn, but apparently, he wasn’t in deep trouble.

South Florida home prices fall further
Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller 20-city housing index released Tuesday showed a continuing decline in South Florida home prices with a first-quarter dip of 1.7 percent compared with the first quarter of 2009.
