Simon T. Bailey Thanks Meeting Planners, Speaker Bureaus, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter Followers
55 percent of employed Americans are dissatisfied with their job, and job satisfaction is at a 22-year low, so it’s not surprising that motivational messages are valued by meeting planners as the most appropriate keynote categories. So says a recent survey by Meetings & Conventions Magazine.
“The American workforce has spent the past 24 months in a perpetual state of fear and panic, and it’s taken a tremendous toll on employee engagement”
– Simon T. Bailey, author, speaker and personal mentor/coach
“It’s time for organizations to develop an internal stimulus plan to re-energize their people.”
Organizations like Microsoft, Dell Computers, Proctor & Gamble, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Society of Human Resource Management Association and others have retained Bailey often over the past 24 months to motivate employees and re-ignite their organizational/ personal brilliance.
And while some leaders are focused on energizing their employees, Bailey’s concerned about a mindset he’s begun detecting in some business leaders – the notion that having or retaining a job should be all the motivation an employee needs.
“Organizations that are focused on maintaining high levels of productivity should be troubled by the low levels of job satisfaction, because it has a very real effect on the bottom line,” says Bailey, who was selected in the same meeting professionals poll as one of the industry’s “Best Keynote Presenters ever heard or used” along with notable presenters like Colin Powell, Bill Gates,Tony Robbins (www.tonyrobbins.com), Sarah Palin (www.sarahpac.com) and Zig Ziglar (www.zigziglar.com).
Simon T. Bailey is spending considerable time on the road this summer sharing his motivational insights with organizations, including BizReset – a full-day seminar for businesses and consumers August 10 in Anaheim, California. (www.bizreset.com/oc), and a presentation at the ASAE Annual Meeting and Expo August 21-24 in Los Angeles.
